Frequently Asked Questions

  • How does the Refer a Friend program benefit me?
When you sign up with Amigo Energy using a referral code from a friend or family member, you’ll receive a $75 bill credit after you pay your first full month’s bill (received within 1-2 billing cycles). It’s our way of saying welcome—and thanks for joining through someone you trust!
  • Where do I enter the referral code?
During enrollment, you’ll see a field to enter your referral code. Just type it in before completing your sign-up. If you receive a referral link or QR code, clicking it will automatically apply the code.
  • When will I receive my bill credit?
Your credit will be applied automatically to your account within 1–2 billing cycles after you’ve paid your first full month’s bill. No need to follow up—it’ll show up on your statement.
  • How will I know when the credit has been applied?
You’ll receive an email confirmation once your $75 credit has been added to your account. You can also check your billing statement in your Amigo Energy account portal.
  • Can I use a referral code if I’m signing up for a business energy plan?
The Refer a Friend program is currently available only for residential energy plans. Business accounts aren’t eligible at this time.
  • Are there any requirements to earn the $75 bill credit?
    Yes—here’s what needs to happen:
    1. You must enroll in a 12-month or longer postpaid residential energy plan.
    2. Your account must remain active and in good standing.
    3. You must pay your first full month’s bill.
