The bustling neighborhood is the perfect location for this bright and dynamic mural, reflecting its lively spirit and rich traditions.

The neighborhood’s energy is a testament to the vitality of its people, who talk about their history with pride and offer a warm, welcoming embrace to all who visit. The Plant, within the historic Second Ward, comprises 40 acres a mile east of downtown and is positioned to be Houston’s first project to connect the light rail to the bayou trail. The plan to create a 15-minute neighborhood is the vision of real estate firm Concept Neighborhood. It represents the first redevelopment of its kind in Houston to embrace the notion of walkable urbanism.
